Pau Amerillo Longbow Wood
A South American tropical cousin of Osage Orange, bright yellow in colour with a varied grain this wood tends to retain it’s colour only mellowing slightly over time.
Whilst not my favourite wood for a belly, Pau Amerillo is very useful as a core wood, coupled with a lemonwood belly to give a complementary overall appearance.
As a double core with purpleheart it gives a striking contrast.
