Lemonwood Longbow Wood

Possibly the most commonly used wood for laminated longbows. Lemonwood, also know as Degame, features a very fine and even textured grain and a straw/yellow colour.
With it’s origins in Central and South America this hardwood is ideally suited to the belly laminate of English longbows, giving a consistant and stable bow.
It’s availability and relative ease to work and low cost make this my preferred wood for standard longbows.
